Check any plate in seconds.
Laneo gives tow and patrol partners plate lookup for the properties they work with. Type a plate and see whether it has a valid resident permit or guest pass. Patrol accounts also see the reason and a warning when two plates look almost the same. It’s free for partners.
Laneo shows whether a plate is valid. Towing and booting decisions belong to the property and its licensed partner.
Three answers, always with the reason.
- TST-1234Valid
Valid
The plate has an active resident permit or guest pass at this property. You see which one, and when a guest pass ends.
Nothing to do. The plate belongs here.
- TST-9910Not valid
Not valid
No active permit or pass right now. The lookup shows why, for example a guest pass that ended at 11 PM.
Follow your agreement with the property, and log what you see.

This plate isn’t registered, but one that looks almost the same is. It might be a misread or a typo.
Check the plate again before any action.
I or 1? O or 0? Laneo checks for you.
Plates are easy to misread in a dark garage, and residents sometimes mistype their own. When the plate you enter isn’t registered but one that looks almost the same is, patrol lookups tell you before you act.
Try it with test plates: TST-1234 and TST-5678 have resident permits, TST-4821 has a guest pass.
See why, not just yes or no.
Each property sets its own rules. The lookup shows the ones that matter for that plate, like when a guest pass ends or how many nights in a row a guest has stayed, so you’re working from the same rules as the property.
Photos and notes, tied to the plate.
Log what you see with photos and notes. Each entry keeps the plate, the property, the time and the lookup result, and the property team sees the same log.

Partner questions
Is Laneo free for partners?
Yes. Plate lookup and the violation log cost partners nothing, and Laneo doesn’t pay or receive anything for tows.
Who decides whether a car is towed or booted?
The property and its licensed partner, under their agreement and local rules. Laneo shows whether a plate is valid and keeps the log.
What does a close match mean?
The plate you entered isn’t registered, but a registered plate looks almost the same, such as I and 1 or O and 0. Patrol accounts see this warning. Check the plate again before any action.
What do towing partners see?
Whether a plate is valid, yes or no. The reason and close-match warnings are shown to patrol accounts, and no partner sees a resident’s name or unit.
Can we work with several properties?
Yes. Each property invites you, and you see the properties you’ve been invited to.
Do we need special equipment?
No. Any phone or laptop with a browser works. Some properties also add fixed cameras or gate equipment.
Bring the partner you already work with.
Invite your tow or patrol company to Laneo. They check plates against your rules and log what they see, at no cost to them.
