Import residents from a CSV file

Updated 2 min read

In short: residents, units, vehicles and active permits come in from a spreadsheet, so nobody starts over. Every plate is checked before it’s saved.

What you can import

  • Residents and their units
  • Vehicles and plates
  • Active permits, so residents don’t have to register again on launch day

[CSV columns and file format to confirm]

Steps

  1. Export your roster Export residents, units and vehicles from your property management system as a CSV file.
  2. Import it Importing residents, vehicles and active permits is part of setup [whether the property team or Laneo runs the upload to confirm].
  3. Fix flagged rows Plates are checked before they’re saved, and you get a list of rows to fix.
  4. Invite residents Send invites in English or Spanish. See invite residents.

Syncing with your property management system

On Entrata, RealPage or Yardi, move-ins, move-outs and renewals sync automatically. Other systems use this roster import.
