Swap a plate

In short: open the vehicle you’re replacing, choose Replace a vehicle, enter the new plate and save. The old permit ends and the new one starts when you save. No charge.

Steps

1. Open Replace a vehicle In the app, open the vehicle you’re replacing. The current plate shows “Ends when you save”.
2. Enter the new plate Type the new license plate and choose the state.
3. Save the new plate The new permit starts right away and the old permit ends at the same moment. There’s no charge.
4. Check your email We send a confirmation with the old plate, the new plate, the time of the change and a charge of $0.00.
