What Laneo does for Houston communities

  • Guest lots that earn

Guests pay an hourly rate you set after free hours from their host, so busy guest areas from Midtown to the Galleria bring in revenue.

  • Permits in English and Spanish

Residents register their plate from an invite in either language. The plate is the permit.

  • A record if a tow is disputed

Your licensed partner checks plates against the same list, free of charge, and every lookup is saved with the time. Patrol partners also get close-match flags.

Towing and parking rules to know in Texas.

Checked October 2026. This is a summary, not legal advice. Your property and its towing company are responsible for following the rules.

  1. Tow-away signs at every entrance

Before towing based on signs, Texas requires a sign at each entrance to the parking facility, with the days and hours of enforcement and a phone number answered 24 hours a day. Texas Occupations Code, ch. 2308
  2. Towing companies are licensed

Towing companies and vehicle storage facilities in Texas are licensed and regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. TDLR towing program
  3. Drivers can ask for a tow hearing

A driver who thinks a tow was wrong can ask for a hearing at a justice court in the county where the car was towed. The deadline is short: generally before the 14th day after the tow, not counting weekends and legal holidays. Texas Occupations Code, ch. 2308
  4. Parking rules go in the lease

If an apartment complex has towing or parking rules, tenants get a copy before the lease is signed, in a paragraph titled “Parking” or “Parking Rules.” A change mid-lease needs written notice first. Texas Property Code §92.0131

A towing company can’t charge more for a nonconsent tow than the state maximum or a fee set by the city or county. Cities and counties can also add requirements to the state’s towing rules. Texas Occ. Code §§2308.2065, .208
  7. No money from tows for property owners
